On the streets

Walking down the streets of Ikebukuro Yukino slipped her phone open and checked her messages as her friends walked the other way. She strolled alone in this town as she seemed be alone but also like the many people that walk the streets of the same area. It was only in the afternoon with all her club activites finished she went to the bakery and bought a cornet bread with chocolate center. Eating it happily she leaned against the wall listening to her ipod and texting.

A young man, about the age of 16, was walking through the streets. He had his face in a book, a book about the mafia that he had picked up from the local library. He didn't have a care in the world at the moment and was able to dodge a few people here and there. However he didn't dodge the young girl who had just ran into him. He fell backwards, his book landing on his chest. He looked up at her from the ground.
"Hey, watch where you're going" He said to her in a calm tone.

Yukino was pushed back a little too dropping her phone. "Shoot!" She picked up her phone making sure it wasn't damaged. "Speak for yourself! I was just standing here you know!" She scratched her head and looked at him holding her hand out "Here...erah? The mafia? You believe that stuff?"

Gin jumped up quickly, hiding the book inside his pants pocket. He looked at her closely.
"Yes, I do believe in the Mafia" He said. He looked around to see if nobody was watching.
"Sorry for bumping into you" He said politely, with a bow.

She laughed and smiled at him, "Hey no problem! Don't worry I believe them too, I mean being part of them and all!" She covered her mouth, "Opps that wasn't suppose to be said! But really you should read while not walking! It's dangerous, especially around these parts! But if you believe them don't mess with them. There dangerous people. Especially the ones underground nowadays." She smiled "I'm Yukino Akimoto! Ikebukuro Specialist! Or so I think..." She gave an exagerated stage bow while smiling at him.

Gin looked at her.
"Y-yukino?" He asked. "Akimoto!?"
He had completely ignored everything else she had just said. However he understood what she meant.
"I-it's me, Gin. Gin Ichiha"
He was now showing his light blue eyes from behind his bangs, looking down at her.

Yukino looked into his eyes and stared. "Who are you?" She said seriously than laughing. "Ah man I can't keep a straight face around you!" She said laughing and than kicking at full force at his stomach. "Where have you been all these years?!" She said yelling with her hands on her hips. "Gosh, just disapear all of sudden and I find you here! Walking blankly reading a book on Mafias!"

Gin rubbed his head.
"The reason I disappeared was because I went to China and learned how to defend myself" He said. "When we were growing up I kept getting beat up and you had to help defend me"
He brushed himself off and stood up in front of her.
"I'm sorry I haven't contacted you in so long" He said. "I was meaning to, it's just, well.."

Yukino laughed at thinking at the old times. "Ah yeah, you were so defenceless back than. All small and cute. China? Woah that's a pretty long way for some trainning. I mean you could have come to Russia to train with my men. I mean there pretty strong." Yukino crossed her arms. "We have email, cellphones and even letters. Could have communicated one way or another."

"Well, the place I was at required me to lose all of that stuff, so when I came back here, I had no way of contacting anyone" He said sadly.
He put his arm around her and walked, so nobody would suspect anything.
"So, you're in the mafia to?" He asked her. At first he didn't know who she was, and was going to play off the mafia book like it was a school project.

Yukino slowely loosed his grip and walked next to him. "Since birth my friend. It's in the blood." She said finishing her bread. "Too? Your in a mafia family too? Where? Who? Man you sure you can handle it? It's not a easy world out there. Especially the underground folk. They've been popping up like daisy n a fresh spring morning!" She said, "Especially around I think a place called Namimori. Ikebukuro is more gangs."

"I can handle it Yuki-chan" He said to her. He chuckled softly. "I joined in it ever since I found out that the Underground was after my friends here in Japan"
He rubbed his chin some. "I figured out my flame is Mist, and I told myself I would be a Freelancer"

Yukino looked at him wide eyes, "After your friends? Mist? Freelancer? Your in for alot more my friend. I'm a cloud flame and I freelance around myself. I tend to stay away from the underground though. Keeping away is so hard though." Yukino smacked his head. "And don't call be -chan! Call me Yukino or Yuki, -chan is when we were like 5." She said. "So what bring you around here? "

"Well, I came here because I heard there was a freelancer here" He said, looking at her. He was referring to Yuki after all.
"And I figured that since i've already gotten myself head over heels in this Underground fight mess, after I destroyed part of there base in China"
He said with a >3> look on his face.
So I came here in the hopes of working with the freelancer here, and helping in any way I can."

Yukino smiled and laughed, "I'm the only freelancer around here. Most are in gangs or underground. I missed you but don't go around killing around here. It's my job that I maintain peace and this war underground." She scratched her head, "But I heard somethings happening... with the boss underground soon it'll reach here." Yukino scratched her head. "gahh mafia's are so troublesome!"

"So, they're trying to go above ground now?" He thought to himself. He rubbed his head. "This gives me a chance to toy with them"
He turned and looked at Yukino.
"Do you have a place to crash at?" He asked.

Yukino smacked his head again but with her pistol. "See this, this is what keeps order around here. So no toying around my town!" She said laughing. "Of course i do! I been living here! Going to high school as a matter of fact. Do you?"

"I just arrived here in japan not that long ago" He said, rubbing his head. "I was wondering if I could crash with you, my parents left town apparently and I don't know where they're at."


[This is a way to keep his parents from being NPCs lol]

"Sure we have an extra guest room. It's only a couple blocks from here. It's a apartment flat so we got plenty of room." She says taking a left at a corner. "Come on. You know you should really keep track of people." She says laughing. "Your parents are sitll alive huh? They must be traveling the world. Or running away."

"I think they're running away, to get away from the Underground" He said to her, as he walked beside her. "I'll find a way to contact them later though, just at the moment you can't trust many people to not be listening in on your conversations"
He looked around them, many men dressed in nothing but black were seen looking at them and laughing. Gin ignored them however and kept on his way with Yuki.

Yuki looked at them and smiled while walking at the direction of her flat. "Don't mind them. Just underlings. Their just happy that theirs fresh meat around. Might even ask you to join their familia." She said, "Well their alive at least. Don't contact them so soon though. Any sign of you making communications can lead to the end of their life"

"Yea" He said as he continued to follow her.
"And no need to worry about me joining any family" He said. "I'm to much like you, can't stand being bundled up with a family, but willing to work with a friend" He said with a wink to her. He giggled slightly.

"You haven't changed at all. Really. Still the same ol Gin. When are you gonna burst outta your shell and find your own flow of things? Don't expect to happen go make it happen." She said laughing while reaching a tall apartment complex. "Here we are..." she said pressing her code incredibly fast. The doors opened and she entered hte building. "Hurry up or you'll be locked out."

Gin laughed. "Same old same old" He thought to himself as he jumped through the doors before they shut fast.
"This is a pretty nice appartment" He said to himself. He crossed his arms and looked at her. "Is this whole building yours or this complex"
